I should like to place on record the extent of my esteem for Ward Partners and particularly for Claire and Matthew Ward. In early October, 2014, I made a decision to place my home of 40 years on the market that Spring and, without any warning, asked Ward Partners to be my agents and work out a marketing plan for this to happen. I had previously interviewed all the major estate agents working in Hunters Hill and worked out, by a process of elimination, which one was best suited. As it happened Matthew and Claire Ward, met the highest standards one could possibly hope for in all of the above criteria and more. Although I had only allowed a little over three weeks to get my house ready, I had their full and utter co-operation in achieving this. Dear Matthew, We are within weeks of our big move and before things get out of control we wanted to take the time to thank you formally for your efforts over the last six months or so. Firstly for the sale of Serpentine Road. The sale was swift and caused little disruption to our family’s life. The thought of going through a formal marketing exercise and having all of Hunters Hill through our home was daunting. The fact you were able to bring a buyer to the table so quickly, without any advertising and at a price that we were happy with was a pleasant relief. Secondly, we appreciated the way you brought together the purchase of Madeline Street. As I recall we were the very first buyers through the door and whilst we fell in love with the home immediately as you know there were some timing issues and hurdles for us to get over - but we got there! Dear Matt and Claire, Thank you so much for your help in selling our North Ryde property last month. I think what made the real difference for us was the way in which you negotiated the final deal as we were getting down to the wire. I know that a number of our neighbours and friends were curious why we chose to go with an out-of-area agent and my gut feeling at the time was that in this day of internet alerts and universal access to information, any agent could run a basic advertising campaign and pull interested parties to the open houses. What was going to make the difference for us was what happened with the buyers once they’d seen – what we though, was a very special property in the area.
